Advanced Back Carry

It is your responsibility to keep your baby safe. Use common sense and double-check your knots.

  1. Start with the carrier tied firmly around your waist, lining facing up.
  2. Use your preferred method of putting baby on your back.
  3. Seat her high on your back. Lean over to create a "table" for her to rest on while you flip the carrier body up.
  4. Always have a spotter help hold your baby until you are confident and your baby has learned to rest against your back without wiggling.
  1. Grab the straps and bring the carrier body up,
  2. making SURE that the carrier body passes over your baby's back, and that her legs are hugging your waist.
  3. Reach back to double-check this.
  4. Pull the straps over your shoulders.
  1. Triple check that your baby is seated deep inside the carrier.
  2. Spread the straps out
  3. and cross over your chest.
  4. Bring the straps OVER your baby's legs, and cross them behind her seat (switching hands).

  1. After crossing, bring the straps back around to the front, threading them UNDER your baby's legs.
  2. Tie a firm square knot.
